Tire Rotations at Land Rover Knoxville

Tires are one of the most important and most overlooked parts of your vehicle. They have constant contact with the road and can help you to start, stop, speed up, slow down, turn, and control the way you drive. When tires are in good shape, it is unlikely you will notice them at all, but if something has gone wrong, or it is time for a tire rotation, we want you to be prepared.

Here are 3 signs you might need a tire rotation:

Sign #1: Your Vehicle Vibrates or Makes a Tire Noise While Driving

If you are ever driving and you being to hear a humming or vibrating sound--particularly while highway driving--this could be a sign that your tires need to be rotated. Often the cause of this issue is wear on one side that causes an imbalance. You may notice this imbalance right away but a tell tale sign is the humming sound or vibrations you could feel at higher speeds.

Sign #2: Your Vehicle Pulls to One Side

Another common tire issue is deflation and loss of pressure. While this can happen naturally over time, it can sometimes happen rapidly from a puncture and can cause uncomfortable and unsafe driving. If your tires are deflated or nearing flat, you will likely notice from either the rubbing rubber sound, a lack of acceleration, and poorer handling and cornering while you drive. Sometimes, a deflated tire can even pull your vehicle to one side.

Sign #3: You Notice Uneven Treads

If you suspect something is strange about your tires, one of the easiest ways to check is by simply inspecting the tires yourself. Each tire comes with a specific tread pattern--and if this tread pattern isn't symmetrical (if it is more worn on one side), that could be a simple way to see that your tires need to be rotated.
